SAVE “THE FLAT IRON”: PROTEST AGAINST MORE DESTRUCTION OF GREEN SPACES

At 9.00 am on the 27th September, Joe Anderson will run a council meeting where, behind closed doors and at a remote site, a decision to allow building on the Flat Iron green site at St. James Place in L8 (pictured) will take place. If this decision goes through, as it seems likely to do, then the threat to all other green sites in our city becomes much greater.

Liverpool Green Party are holding a demo at 9am on the 27th at the Flat Iron site to fight to protect our green spaces from annihilation by the Labour Council. More information and a petition to halt this destruction can be found here https://www.change.org/p/mayor-of-liverpool-joe-anderson-save-the-flat-iron-green-space-liverpool-8. Please join us on 27th to demand that our precious green spaces are saved.
